Swine Flu H1N1 in 1976

In February of 1976 a 19 year old recuit at Fort Dix, NJ fell ill and died.  Two weeks later it was reported he died of H1N1 swine flu.  Even though this flu strain wasn’t seen after March, the government decided to try and vaccinate every American against it.  By October immunizations began and almost immediately 3 senior citizens in Pennsylvania died after taking the shot.  All in all, the government vaccincated about 33% of the population and approximately 25 people died as a result of those vaccinations.  Many thousands of others were sickened.  I was one of those.
